Titus Tutorial

Page history last edited by Cyrus Mulready 10 years ago

Overview:

This Tutorial is designed to help you improve your "reading" of film by giving you some critical vocabulary for understanding how filmmakers create their art. You will also gain some insight to the way Shakespeare's plays were originally adapted into print, seeing evidence about some of the earliest adaptations of Titus Andronicus.

Actions:

1. Work through each of the three tutorials: Shakespeare in Print and on Screen, the Technical Elements of Film, and Aesthetics of Titus. Take notes as you go through these, noting new vocabulary or insights that you gain from the tutorials.

2. Write a response to the film that is based on something you learned from these tutorials in the Forum for Titus Discussion. Your response should be roughly 200-300 words and is due by 12:00 noon Friday, March 28th (you'll need to complete this in order to receive credit for attending class that day). Please create an account for the forum so that your name shows up when you post.

3. After class on Friday, please choose one other post and write a brief response to the post (roughly 50 words).
